Kick-off meeting of the partners on the new IF4TM Erasmus Plus project at the University of Kragujevac

University of Kragujevac, the coordinator of IF4TM Erasmus Plus project Institutional framework for development of the third mission of universities in Serbia, organized the first partners meeting on the project on December 3 and 4, 2015 at the University’s Rectorate.
The project is funded by the European Commission within the Erasmus Plus programme in the amount of 966.510 EUR and realized in the consortium of 18 partners from Serbia, UK, Austria, Portugal, Italy and Slovenia. The members are five EU universities (Brighton, Krems, Lisbon, Bari and Maribor), six Serbian universities (Kragujevac, Belgrade, Novi Sad, Nis, Novi Pazar and Metropolitan), Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development, Intellectual Property Office, Technical College of Applied Science (Zrenjanin), three business incubators (Kragujevac, Belgrade and Novi Sad) and one company.
As Prof. Dr. Vesna Mandic, the project coordinator said, the main objective of the project is to develop and implement the third mission at Serbian universities, apart from the two existing ones related to education and research. The third mission is consisted of three pillars: technology transfer and innovations, continuing education and socially responsible universities.
During the first day of the meeting, participating partners presented their institutions and experience relevant for the IF4TM project implementation. The main objectives and activities within the project were also introduced in the form of short work package presentations.
The second day was opened with the presentation of the E+ programme held by the representative of Serbian National Erasmus Plus Office. Apart from this, the second day was dedicated to financial and technical management aspects of the project implementation.
The IF4TM project is one of the first four Erasmus projects coordinated by Serbian institutions. The project will be realized in the period from October 15, 2015 to October 14, 2018.
